At Richardson Moving & Storage we serve Thirsk and its surrounding areas with a wide range of removals services, including business, overseas and domestic moves. From family moves to and from Thirsk’s suburbs, to apartment removals from the town centre, over the last 4 decades we’ve completed a wide range of Thirsk removals, with services including storage, packing and unpacking.
Situated close to the A19, Thirsk sits in the middle of the ‘Golden Triangle’ of York, Harrogate and Leeds. Commutable distances to all three cities make this North Yorkshire market town a popular choice for city workers. There’s also excellent train links, including a relatively new service which gets you into Kings Cross in just 2 hours 35 minutes.
So it’s well connected, but what else has this market town got going for it? Well obviously, a weekly market. It also has three primary schools and a secondary school. The town is also just outside of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, with the visitor centre and cycle trails a stone’s throw away at the top of Sutton Bank. The market place boasts a number of restaurants and old pubs, and the town has recently enjoyed some media coverage on ‘The Yorkshire Vet’ a program dedicated to the famous Thirsk Vet James Herriot.
The town itself is pretty compact, and house values are strong but not ridiculous. A detached four or five bedroom hour demands anything from £320k to £500k, smaller detached homes and bungalows fetch between £195k and £350k whilst a range of terraced housing starts from £130k to £230k. There are also some flats and apartments which start from around the £100k mark.
