Not too far from Teesside and ever closer to the Burridges residence, the Richardson Moving & Storage teams have spent a lot of time carrying out both domestic and business removals across the area of Northallerton and Hambleton. A lot of the people we have moved around Northallerton have been council workers, working at the Hambleton councils head office in Northallerton. We have also moved RAF personnel and their families in and out of the area, when they have been posted to the local RAF Leeming.
If you are moving into, or out of Northallerton and need some information about our removals services (which encompass packing, unpacking and storage) just get in touch and we will be happy to organise a no obligation review.
Northallerton Area Guide
As previously mentioned, Northallerton is the capital of Hambleton, which has been voted as the best place to live in Yorkshire, with record low crime records, pretty market towns and quaint villages. It’s so good, that even the Vikings used it as an organisational base.
Northallerton itself is a thriving and busy market town, full of life – Northallerton boasts fantastic independent shops, bars and restaurants. The world famous Betty’s also has a café restaurant located on the high street. One of the oldest pubs in the town hosted Charles Dickens, who was visiting whilst writing Nicholas Nickelby.
Locally, landmarks such as Mount Grace Priory are well worth a visit and is the best preserved Carthusian house in England. Local villages such as Osmotherly are also well worth a visit, but can get busy on sunny, weekend days. The Yorkshire Dales and The North Yorkshire Moors are also just a stone’s throw from Northallerton, whilst the big cities of the North are easily commutable thanks to great rail links.
The average house price in Northallerton is £206,000 and there is a wide range of properties available in the town, including terraced houses, detached and semi-detached houses in the suburbs, flats close to the town centre and even large Victorian town houses.
